Rebellion released the gamescom trailer for Alien Deathstorm, its action-horror FPS, on August 26, 2026. One minute fourteen, and the first public look at the mission the Sniper Elite studio was letting people try in Cologne.

The setting comes down to one word: the storm. Rebellion's visuals bathe the off-world colony in saturated red, lightning on the horizon, debris cutting across the frame, ammo counter clinging to the side of the weapon. Indoors, everything shifts to cold blue and the creatures attack in packs.

The mission is called "Reactor." An isolated Engineer pushes deeper into a failing fission reactor to retrieve the Fission Initiator. The studio followed up with 10 min 58 s of gameplay narrated by Ben Fisher, Head of Design, then 24 silent minutes titled "Reactor Meltdown."

Rebellion lists "Coming 2027" on its website and is targeting spring 2027, day one on Xbox Game Pass, on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5. Steam, however, still shows "To be announced," and the PlayStation Store has no release date listed. The Steam page declares twelve languages, with English the only one carrying full audio support.

One note to avoid confusion: this is neither Alien: Isolation 2 (Creative Assembly, SEGA) nor Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. Alien Deathstorm isn't even a licensed game: Steam, the PlayStation Store, and the official website credit only Rebellion, the trademark holder. The studio's actual brush with the real license came in 2010, with Aliens vs. Predator.
