In brief

Breathedge 2 launches into early access on Monday, August 31st at 5:00 PM (Paris time) exclusively on Steam PC. No pre-loading, no console in sight, just unfinished content to dig into as soon as it unlocks, with French subtitles from day one.

Breathedge 2 enters early access this Monday, August 31 at 5:00 PM Paris time, i.e. 3:00 PM UTC. The countdown shown on the Steam page is the only source giving the time: RedRuins Softworks hasn't published it in any of its announcements.

One store, one time slot

The game is only releasing on PC, and only on Steam. No gap between storefronts to watch out for, no console version to wait for. The studio hasn't opened preloading: the page offers neither a pre-order nor an early download, you'll have to buy and then download once it unlocks.

What you're launching at 5:00 PM

This is an early access version, not a 1.0. RedRuins was aiming for "a bit earlier" in the summer before settling on August 31, a date confirmed on July 20 on the game's Steam hub.

French subtitles are announced from launch. Voice acting, however, remains limited to English and Russian: the narrator carries all the series' humor, and you'll be reading it.

Are you jumping into Breathedge 2 right at 5 PM or waiting for the 1.0?

Key takeaways

  • Launching in early access, not a final version: the game isn't complete
  • Steam exclusive on PC, no other platform or storefront
  • Zero pre-loading available, you'll need to buy and download live
  • French subtitles will be there from day one, unlike the voice dubbing
