Tropico 7 launches January 28, 2027, day one on Game Pass

Kalypso Media hid the date in its first gameplay trailer: Tropico 7 will launch on January 28, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox on PC), day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The official FAQ from April was still aiming for 2026: the Gaming Minds Studios title has slipped past the new year.

The French Steam page details the content: five campaign maps with El Presidente, Penultimo and a new antagonist, Victoria Guerra, ten additional scenarios, more than twenty sandbox maps and a random map generator. The real new features lie elsewhere: terraforming, the council where you summon the factions, and decrees whose catalog depends on your political stance. Interface and subtitles are localised into fourteen languages; only English and German are voiced.

On the purchasing side, nothing yet. No edition, no price, no pre-order: Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store only offer a wishlist button. One last point before January: multiplayer won't be available at launch, pushed back by Kalypso to a free post-release update, supporting up to four players on a single shared map.
