Grinding Gear Games has set the end date for Path of Exile 2's early access: version 1.0 launches on Friday, December 11, 2026 on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement was made on August 25, on the Opening Night Live stage in Cologne. The model shifts at the same time: the game becomes fully free-to-play, whereas early access is still selling for €27.75 on Steam.
What 1.0 brings
The campaign is completed with the remaining acts, and a class is added: the Duelist. Early access buyers keep access to the full version, with nothing to repurchase. Signing up on the official website unlocks rewards through community tiers, though the studio has not published the numerical details.
Between now and launch
Next window: GGG's livestream on Thursday, August 27 on Twitch, at 19:30 UTC (9:30 PM CEST, 12:30 PM PT). The 0.5.5 update takes top billing there, but it's the first opportunity to detail 1.0. The first Path of Exile qualifiers follow on September 4. No unlock time has been announced.
