PS Plus: the 5 games dated August 25 are already live in France
In brief
PlayStation Plus Extra welcomes five new games on August 25 abroad, but surprise: in France, they've already been available since August 18. Hell is Us, Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash, Two Point Museum, Metro Exodus and Dying Light 2 round out an August catalog that moves at different paces depending on the region.
The English-language press is announcing the arrival of 5 games in the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The information is right for the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan, but it does not hold everywhere: in France, those five titles have been available since Tuesday, August 18.
They are Hell is Us (PS5), Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash (PS4), Two Point Museum (PS5), Metro Exodus and Dying Light 2 (PS5, PS4). The English-language PlayStation Blog adds under each of them an August 25 release in the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. The French post, signed by Adam Michel, Director, Games Services at Sony Interactive Entertainment, mentions that August 25 nowhere. It sets out a single rule: “All other titles will be available Tuesday, August 18 unless indicated otherwise.” No exception is provided for these five.
Why the dates no longer match from one region to another
Sony has changed the way it rolls out Extra and Premium additions: they no longer all land on the same day, but are spread across the month. One and the same monthly catalogue therefore opens on different dates depending on the territory, and a US date passed on without its regional caveat turns misleading in France.
The rest of the August catalogue is unchanged: Helldivers 2 (PS5) from August 12 worldwide, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (PS5) and Vampire Survivors (PS5, PS4). On the Premium side, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire (PS5, PS4).
The final word stays with your PS Store: Sony recalls in a footnote that the contents of the Game Catalog and of the Premium/Deluxe plans vary by region. No removal date has been announced.
