Nioh 3 Ochoko Cups: How to Get and Use Them
In brief
Ochoko Cups in Nioh 3 allow you to summon NPCs to help you in combat, although they aren't mandatory for progression. Discover how to obtain them by facing Revenants, creating Benevolent Graves, or exploring the world, and how to use them strategically during difficult encounters.
In Nioh 3, Ochoko Cups can be decisive even though they aren't required to progress through the story: they allow you to summon NPCs, who provide invaluable support in combat. This article shows you the ways to obtain these precious items and how to make good use of them during battles.

How to Get Ochoko Cups
One of the most common ways to get Ochoko Cups is by fighting Revenants. These are incarnations of players who failed in an area you must pass through, and who return to that spot. By defeating them, you can not only obtain some or all of their equipment, but also earn Ochoko Cups.
Note
Revenants can be found in various locations throughout the world, so you'll need to explore to find them!
An alternative way to get Ochoko Cups is to leave a Benevolent Grave. In practical terms, you have the ability to create a grave that's open to other players. When a player uses it in order to get help, you are in turn summoned as an NPC. Once the mission is completed, the player receives Ochoko Cups as a reward.
While exploring the various locations in Nioh 3, it's also possible to pick up Ochoko Cups from certain abandoned bodies.

Using Ochoko Cups
When interacting with a Benevolent Grave, you can offer a certain number of Ochoko Cups to summon an NPC, a player who left their grave in order to bring help to others. Graves are generally placed not far from boss areas or the entrance to the Dark Realms.
The NPC you summon takes part in a limited number of battles (or until an objective is completed); the purple bar located above the NPC's name lets you know how much time is left.
By setting the Cooperation option at the Shrine, it's also possible to become a guest in another player's world.
