In brief

In Diablo 4 Season 11, Asmodan's Corrupted Tongues are rare items essential for accessing the Lesser Evil's best treasures. Obtained by defeating Asmodan multiple times, they must be stockpiled (a minimum of five) and used strategically during his World Boss appearances to unlock exceptional rewards.

In Season 11 of Diablo 4, Asmodan's Corrupted Tongues are all the rage. How do you obtain these rare items and use them well? That's what we're offering to show you in a few practical lines.

How to get them?

Azmodan's Corrupted Tongues can only be obtained under one condition: defeat the Lesser Evil! It appears in two different ways in the game. Through the rotation of World Bosses, for which you have a calendar on sites like Helltides.com, and more difficultly by summoning it yourself with certain prerequisites.

You'll need to defeat Asmodan several times to hope to obtain these items; with each victory you'll have a chance to get a Corrupted Tongue. The ideal is to get at least five, for more interesting rewards afterward.

Note

Their drop rate seems at least partially random, which means several fights against this terrifying opponent.

According to some reflections from the player community, it seems that Corrupted Tongues appear more often by defeating Asmodan as a World Boss rather than its summoned version. But this remains to be officially confirmed by the game's developers...

Procedure for summoning Asmodan

Summoning Asmodan is a challenge in itself in this season 11. The first step to complete this quest is to go talk with Zarbinzet in Hawezar. You'll then access an area haloed with Azmodan's symbol, surrounded by three altars.

These three altars are allocated to Andariel, Duriel, and Belial, the three other Lesser Evils available this season. To activate these altars, you need to get hold of certain corrupted items linked to each demonic entity:

  • The Andariel's Altar requires an Andariel's Corrupted Claw
  • The Duriel's Altar must be activated using a Duriel's Corrupted Horn
  • The Belial's Altar requires Belial's Corrupted Eye

These corrupted items are gathered randomly by killing the relevant Lesser Evils. Once you have at least one of these artifacts, you need to return to the altar area to start the summoning ritual. Activate the altar corresponding to the corrupted item in your possession, and this will make Asmodan appear, but with the imprint and powers of the Lesser Evil whose artifact was used.

Note

A bug sometimes occurs and breaks the summoning mode. To fix it, log out then log back in, or reset the zone.

Optimal use of Corrupted Tongues

As soon as you collect at least five of Asmodan's Corrupted Tongues, you can start using them, but not just at any time. You'll need to wait for Asmodan to appear as a World Boss in the cycle of recurring events.

After mortally wounding this version of Asmodan (whether solo or in a group), you'll be able to access its Treasure. At this exact moment, your Corrupted Tongues trigger their real potential. Take advantage of this to open the Treasure, which lets you get some very nice rewards, such as:

  • High-level legendary items
  • Rare resources for gear upgrades
  • Components for crafting Divine Boons, the new mechanic of Season 11
  • Potentially highly sought-after unique items

The recommended strategy is to accumulate several Corrupted Tongues before using them all at once, to avoid wasting your play time efficiency and reducing your chances of getting exceptional loot.
