ARC Raiders Observer Relay: How to Use It
In brief
The Watcher Relay is a crucial tactical device in PvP in ARC Raiders that allows you to draw the attention of ARC enemies to a designated target. Obtained by eliminating Sentinels, it can be thrown like a grenade to disorganize your opponents, but using it directly on other players has negative consequences for your PvP score.
As part of PvP, the Observer Relay has an important tactical role to play in ARC Raiders. This device allows you to concentrate the attention of a targeted ARC enemy on players, an asset that can prove valuable in this type of confrontation. In this article, I'll show you how to obtain and best use the Observer Relay.
A quick refresher on the Observer Relay
A deployed Observer Relay will draw the attention of entities such as Wasps, Hornets and even Bombardiers toward a targeted player.
When the Observer Relay is thrown, it emits a signal that allows nearby enemies to focus their fire on the target in question. In PvP, the Observer Relay can completely change the game.
Note
By baiting enemies with a relay, you defend your allies and can calmly deal damage to your opponent.
How to get Observer Relays
To get access to Observer Relays in ARC Raiders, you need to defeat Watchers. These drones often lurk around Bombardiers. Once the Watchers are taken down, they drop Relays that you can pick up.
Using Relays
Once you've picked up an Observer Relay, simply equip it in an active slot. They work like grenades and can be thrown out onto the battlefield.
Observer Relays should be used tactically in PvP, by throwing them near a group of enemies to distract them. You can also combine them with another device such as Bugle Scanners to create a flood of enemies that will overwhelm your opponents.
Observer Relays are particularly powerful, but using them isn't without risk. Indeed, using an Observer Relay on another player will be considered an aggressive act, which will negatively impact your PvP score, potentially making you more vulnerable in future matches.
Note
Likewise, if you're not careful enough, the enemies lured in by the Relay can quickly turn against you. A horde of Wasps or Hornets can quickly take down a player, even one wearing reinforced armor.
