In brief

Season 7 of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown begins on September 2, 2026, with a revamped Solar Pass, new vehicles, and a live event system. More importantly, Houses are finally coming back in Season 8, putting an end to one of the biggest criticisms leveled at the game since launch.

KT Racing has dated Season 7 of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown to September 2, 2026. The announcement came during News From The Pits #3, the NACON show broadcast on Friday, August 21, 2026, hosted by Alexander Arthur and Sébastien Waxin, head of NACON's Racing department.

On the programme: an improved Solar Pass, a new live events system, new vehicles and new models in the online store. The May and June 2026 Solar Club Letters had already steered this batch towards JDM culture, with the Nissan GT-R R34 Skyline V-Spec II confirmed. Details were also given on the mid-season update, S7P1, but NACON has not published its contents. The server switchover time, for its part, has not been announced.

Houses confirmed for Season 8

This is the other piece of news from the show, and the most awaited: Houses return in Season 8. Guillaume Guinet, game director, presented how far the work has come. These properties that the player buys and lives in are the signature of the series, and their absence remains the main criticism aimed at the game since its release on September 12, 2024. The March 2026 roadmap already placed real estate in Season 8; the show turns it into a firm commitment, with a first detailed look. No date, on the other hand, has been given for that Season 8.
