Early access for 1666: Amsterdam opens on Tuesday 25 August 2026 at 8:40pm BST. The countdown on the Steam page is precise to the minute, and the international unlock-time tables agree: 3:40pm on the US East Coast, 12:40pm on the West Coast, 9:40pm in Paris.

This is PC only, on Steam, and no console version has been announced. This first slice opens the first chapter of the campaign, which Panache Digital Games puts at around fifteen hours of play. The studio is banking on a year of early access, with regular content updates.

Two things to weigh before reaching for the card. The price is still not shown on the store page, and the studio warns that it will climb steadily as early access goes on: buying early will cost less. The voice acting is in English, with subtitles offered in several languages.

Steam announces neither a preload nor a download size. The system requirements ask for 50 GB of disk space and an SSD. In the meantime, the Prologue stays free.
