About 1666: Amsterdam
Every 333 years, something awakens. 1666: Amsterdam is a narrative third-person action-adventure game where you play as Noa, the Perceiver, capable of unmasking demonic entities hidden behind human faces. The game alternates between two modes: investigating by day in a merchant city at the peak of its power, and confronting by night what the investigation has awakened.
The project is the one Patrice Désilets, creative director of the first Assassin's Creed games, has been pursuing since leaving Ubisoft. His Montreal studio Panache Digital Games is self-publishing it, in early access starting August 25, 2026 on PC. This first installment opens the first part of the campaign, announced at around fifteen hours, and the studio is planning on about a year of early access to add the other districts of the city. The game is translated into French, but its voices remain in English.
