About
Konami is a Japanese company founded in 1969, initially specialized in manufacturing jukeboxes before becoming one of the giants of video games. Located in Tokyo, this company has left its mark with legendary franchises.
Among its successes are "Metal Gear Solid", a revolutionary stealth series led by Hideo Kojima, "Pro Evolution Soccer" (PES), a football simulation renowned for its excellent gameplay but which has now nearly vanished from the scene due to its in-app purchase model, and "Castlevania", a gothic action-adventure saga that has become a cult classic. Not to mention the iconic "Silent Hill" series, a reference in survival horror alongside Capcom's "Resident Evil".
Nowadays, Konami diversifies its range of activities between video games, fitness clubs, pachinko, and casinos. Relations with certain creators have sometimes been tense, but Konami remains one of the leading players in the video game industry worldwide.
