Resident Evil

More than 25 years ago, in 1996, Capcom launched a game that would revolutionize the survival horror genre: Resident Evil, which recounts the battles waged against the Umbrella Corporation and its monstrous bioterrorist creations.

Today, the franchise counts more than 30 games and has surpassed 140 million units sold in total. It has marked several generations, with legendary games such as RE2, RE4 (and their recently released remakes) which on their own defined the standards of the genre for their respective eras.

But Resident Evil is not limited to video games: the franchise has also come to life through a series of live-action films, animated productions (feature films and a Netflix series), in a universe blending intense action, varied puzzles and an oppressive atmosphere.

From the sinister Raccoon City to thoroughly unsettling European villages, each episode of the game has managed to plunge players into an unforgettable nightmarish world.
