Roblox Innovation Awards 2026: how to vote and get the 6 free UGC items before voting closes on August 11
In brief
The Roblox Innovation Awards 2026 close on August 11 at 8 p.m. Pacific time. You have a few hours left to vote in the 19 categories and grab the six free UGC items offered by Roblox, without spending a single Robux. The catch: four out of six items aren't obtained at the voting booth, but by completing hidden challenges in the hub.
Voting for the Roblox Innovation Awards 2026 closes on Tuesday, August 11 at 8 p.m. Pacific time. Converted to Paris time, you only have a few hours left to enter the official hub, tick off the 19 categories, and walk away with the six UGC items offered for the occasion. After that deadline, the badges close and the items will no longer be distributed.
Everything takes place in a single experience, [RIA26] The Block: the "trophy room" version of Roblox's music hub, reworked this year with the studio Twin Atlas. Nothing costs money, no Robux is required, and the six rewards can be collected in a single fifteen-minute session once you know the order of the tasks. The trap isn't the difficulty: it's leaving right after voting without realizing that four items out of six aren't obtained at the voting podium.
This guide gives the official schedule, the exact conditions for the six badges, the location of the seven cubes, the full list of the 19 categories with their nominees — and, something nobody else publishes, the real counters for each badge recorded on August 10 via Roblox's public API. They show in black and white where players give up.
The official RIA 2026 schedule
- April 3, 2026: announcement of the 2026 edition on the developer forum, at the same time as the RDC26 announcement.
- July 6 and 7, 2026: nominations window, open to the community.
- July 29, 2026: voting opens (the official post is timestamped at 4:11 p.m. UTC).
- August 11, 2026, 8 p.m. Pacific time: voting closes.
- September 12, 2026: winners announced, during the Roblox Developers Conference, held from September 10 to 12 in San Jose.
One detail not to overlook regarding the deadline: Roblox writes "8:00pm PST" in its post, even though California is on daylight saving time (PDT, UTC−7) in August. Taken literally, the closing therefore falls on Wednesday, August 12 at around 5 a.m. Paris time, but the gap between the two time zones leaves an hour of uncertainty. Don't cut it close to the last minute: vote Monday evening or sometime during the day on Tuesday.
Where to vote, and how to go about it
The hub is called [RIA26] The Block and belongs to the Music on Roblox group. It's the same world as the platform's usual concert hub, reskinned for the event — so be careful not to land on a community copy with a similar name.
Once loaded, head toward the center of the plaza: the voting station is identifiable by the large floating cube spinning above a raised platform. As you approach it, the voting interface opens and displays the entire ballot. Roblox confirmed in its announcement that all 19 categories are open simultaneously: unlike some previous editions, there's no tier to wait for, no category unlocked day after day.

Bulletin rule: one nominee per category only, and the choice is validated category by category. All 19 must be covered to unlock the associated badge — skipping just one is enough to block the reward. Last point to know before you get started: several players have reported on the official forum that The Block is inaccessible from certain countries, Russia in particular. The hub responds normally from France.
The six free UGC items and their exact conditions
Each item is tied to a badge. As soon as the badge triggers, the item lands directly in the account's inventory, with no trip through the catalog or manual validation. Here are the conditions as they are worded on the official side, not as they are copied out by aggregators.
| UGC item | Associated badge | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| RIA Voting Hub 2026 - Welcome Cap | Best Audience Award | Join the hub (automatic attribution on load) |
| World Builder Hammer | Vote! Vote! Vote! | Vote in all 19 categories |
| VFX Staff of Wizardry | Interdimensional Travel | Go through a portal to a nominated experience, then come back to the hub |
| Aura of Re-Animation | Smile, you're on camera! | Take a photo with the interface's capture button |
| Programmer's Scrolls | Techno Seeker | Collect the 7 cubes hidden in the scenery |
| Musical Mindset Aura | Obby Master | Complete the hub's hidden obby |

Two of these conditions ask for almost nothing and yet are the most often forgotten. The screenshot triggers with the camera icon displayed on the right edge of the screen: a single click is enough, the photo doesn't need to be saved or shared. The portal to the nominated games, on the other hand, requires a full round trip: you have to load the destination experience, then relaunch The Block. If you close Roblox from within the nominated game, the badge won't drop.

The seven cubes of the Techno Seeker badge
These are what trip up most players. The cubes are scattered along the platforming paths bordering the plaza and around the stage furniture. No particular order is required, and the counter is kept if you leave and come back on the same account.
- On the second platform of the left-hand course, starting from the spawn point.
- At the first fork of that same left-hand course.
- In the upper central part of the area, at the same level as the exit of the hidden obby.
- At the far end of the right-hand obstacle course.
- On the return path that leads back from the left-hand course to the spawn point.
- Behind the small speaker placed on the right edge of the plaza.
- Behind the large speaker, very close to the spawn point, on your left as you arrive.
The hidden obby for the Obby Master badge
The course isn't marked: it starts at the edge of the plaza and climbs through a series of jumps to a raised finish platform. Good news, it largely overlaps with the cubes' path: while climbing the obby you'll cross paths with several of them, which lets you complete both Techno Seeker and Obby Master in the same climb instead of going around twice. The course has branching paths; not all of them lead to the top, but no fall is punishing since respawn happens on the ground.
What the badge counters tell us
Roblox's public badge API exposes the number of players who have earned each badge. Since the Best Audience Award badge is automatically granted to everyone who loads the hub, it serves as a reliable denominator: this lets us measure, objective by objective, what share of visitors makes it all the way through. Recorded on August 10, 2026:
| Badge | Earned | Share of visitors |
|---|---|---|
| Best Audience Award (entry) | 39,358,014 | 100% |
| Vote! Vote! Vote! (19 categories) | 15,064,862 | 38.3% |
| Smile, you're on camera! (photo) | 13,837,342 | 35.2% |
| Interdimensional Travel (portal) | 7,971,214 | 20.3% |
| Obby Master (hidden obby) | 5,777,758 | 14.7% |
| Techno Seeker (7 cubes) | 4,653,999 | 11.8% |
The reading is instructive. Nearly two out of three visitors leave without filling out the ballot: in other words, a single vote carries far more weight than the hub's raw audience numbers would suggest. Next, the gap between the photo (35.2%) and the portal (20.3%) reveals the classic one-way mistake, where the player moves straight on to the named game and never sets foot back in The Block. Finally, the 7 cubes are the rarest objective of the event, even less accessible than the obby: Programmer's Scrolls will by far be the most discriminating of the six items in inventories.
The 19 categories and their nominees
The ballot features four nominees per category. The labels remain in English in the game, as does the entire Roblox interface: we leave them as they are and gloss them in French.

A few pointers to help you decide without spending your whole afternoon on it. Animal Hospital is the big overachiever of this edition with four nominations, ahead of Scary Shawarma Kiosk: the ANOMALY, TTK and RIVALS, each present in three categories. On the audience side, two heavyweights crush the rest of the field: Grow a Garden 2 was running at over 450,000 concurrent players at the time of our check, Animal Hospital around 180,000 — which makes them the mechanical favorites for the People's Choice award. The Best Plugin category, meanwhile, only concerns creators: if you never open Roblox Studio, vote by feel, it's still essential for unlocking the badge.
The optimal order to collect everything in one session
- Enter the hub: the cap drops on its own during loading.
- Immediately hit the camera icon — one click, one item.
- Move straight on to the central station and fill in all 19 categories in one go; it's the only step that really takes a few minutes.
- Walk around the ground-floor plaza for the two speaker cubes, then tackle the obby: you'll pick up the five remaining cubes on the way up.
- Finish by going through a portal to a nominated game, let it fully load, then come back to The Block to trigger the last badge.
Save the portal for last, precisely because it takes you out of the hub: it's the only task where forgetting to return costs you an item. And if you only had to do one thing, do the full ballot — it's the only action in the event that has an effect beyond your inventory, with winners announced on September 12 at RDC26.

Key takeaways
- Voting closes on August 11 at 8 p.m. PDT (Wednesday, August 12 around 5 a.m. Paris time), so don't cut it too close to the deadline
- All 19 categories are open simultaneously, but you need to check at least one option in each to unlock the Vote! Vote! Vote! badge
- Four out of six UGC items require tasks outside the ballot: a photo, a round trip to a named game, seven hidden cubes, and a hidden obby
- The seven cubes are the rarest goal: only 11.8% of hub visitors find them all, which will make the Programmer's Scrolls highly exclusive
- Don't close Roblox after visiting a named game, or the Interdimensional Travel badge won't drop
