The Echoing Flute (Echoing Flute) is the essential item to summon and then capture Panthalus, the legendary king of the oceans added with Palworld 1.0. To craft it, you need to gather four bones scattered across the Palpagos Archipelago. Here's where to find them and how to trigger the fight.

Starting the quest on Deserted Islet

It all starts on Deserted Islet, east of Ghost Island. The place looks abandoned, but a Seeker of an ancient civilization is waiting there with a mission. Be careful: this quest only unlocks after defeating the eight tower bosses.

Note

You can collect the bones even before talking to him, but approaching him first triggers the "Panthalus" mission and marks every location on your map - a real time saver.

Where to find the four bones

Each bone rests on a gigantic skeleton that emits a light pillar: climb (or fly) up to the skull and interact with the pillar to collect it.

Tide Bone - (122, -525): on the skull of a sea skeleton, west of the Beginning Hill and Grassy Behemoth Hills teleport points.
Foam Bone - (-519, -548): teleport to the Eternal Flame Tower Entrance, then head east to the skeleton half-buried in the volcanic terrain. The bone is in the skull.
Silence Bone - (356, -110): a few steps from the Wind Summoner's Altar. Enter the skeleton's skull. Watch out for the level 55 Jormuntide patrolling the coast: it's passive, but getting too close can turn into a fight.
Breeze Bone - (-262, 485): west of the Absolute Zero Land. Head to the nearby skeleton and collect the last pillar in the skull.

Crafting the Echoing Flute

With the four bones in hand, head back to your nearest base. If you haven't already, talk to the Seeker on Deserted Islet first to accept the mission: he'll give you the Worn Blueprint, which is the Echoing Flute recipe.

Good news: any workbench will do, including the very first Primitive Workbench. No need to unlock the Ancient Workbench just for this. Craft the flute from the four bones.

Summoning Panthalus

Once the Echoing Flute is crafted, go back to the Seeker one last time. He'll ask you to play the flute at the shrine located right next to him. A moment later, Panthalus appears: a level 70 boss with 350,000 HP.

You're now ready for one of the most memorable fights in Palworld 1.0. Remember to bring a fast flying mount to dodge its charges in the aquatic arena - but that's another story.
