In brief
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 arrives on October 14, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned later. Mick Gordon, composer of DOOM Eternal, composes the music for the final boss Vashtorr the Arkifane, and the campaign offers branching paths to explore different worlds depending on your choices.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 has its release date: October 14, 2026, on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow, with no timeline given. The English press release writes "Boltgun II", while the French Steam page writes "Boltgun 2": that's the spelling you'll see in your library.
The heart of the trailer isn't the date. Auroch Digital confirms that Mick Gordon, composer of DOOM Eternal and Wolfenstein: The New Order, is scoring the music for the final boss fight. That boss is Vashtorr the Arkifane, a demigod smith revealed here for the first time.

On the purchasing side, there's nothing new to report: as of August 27, the Steam page shows no price, no pre-order, and no special edition. The game remains strictly single-player, with two campaigns to choose from, the Ultramarine Malum Caedo or the Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath. Only English is voiced; every other supported language, French included, is interface and subtitles only.
Until October, the Steam demo released on May 21 remains online and covers two levels. The studio also promises Steam posts about the new enemies and the differences from the first Boltgun, released in 2023 by Focus Entertainment: Big Fan is now a label of Devolver Digital.
