Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2

The sequel to the retro FPS released in 2023, Boltgun 2 keeps the same recipe: sprites, corridors, a movement speed inherited from the 1990s, and a number of enemies that never lets up. The novelty lies in the playable cast: alongside Ultramarine Malum Caedo comes Nyra Veyrath, Sister of Battle, with her own arsenal.

The story sends both characters into an isolated star system where Chaos activity has intensified. There they face Vashtorr the Arkifane, a demigod who awakens a demonic machine at the heart of a planet and decimates the Imperial fleet. Alongside the Nurglings and cultists of the first game come, notably, the Bloodletters and their Juggernauts. Developed by British studio Auroch Digital and published by Big Fan Games and Devolver Digital, the game releases on October 14, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, with a Switch 2 version announced shortly after.
