Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is the online-focused upgrade of the fighting game that invented 3D for the genre in 1993. The foundation remains that of Final Showdown: no super meter, no projectiles, a system of blocking, evading and throws where everything comes down to timing and reading the opponent.

What the R.E.V.O. version brings is mainly a matter of comfort: rollback netcode, cross-platform play and revamped training tools. World Stage adds a solo mode of the same name, in which you climb a ladder of rivals, as well as more comprehensive replay management. Developed by RGG Studio, the team behind the Like a Dragon series, and published by SEGA, it released on October 30, 2025 on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, followed by a Nintendo Switch 2 version on March 26, 2026. Owners of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. on Steam, released in January 2025, were upgraded automatically. The game is translated into French (interface and subtitles, Japanese and English voiceovers) and costs €19.99 on Steam.
