Mina the Hollower

With Mina the Hollower, the developers at Yacht Club Games trade in Shovel Knight's shovel for a small mouse turned heroic thanks to her whip, in an action-adventure at the crossroads of Link's Awakening and old-school Castlevania. After being flung onto an unsettling island, Mina must restore the power and crush the spectral threat attacking her. To do so, she must explore a gothic world saturated with Game Boy Color-style pixels. The gameplay rests on three pillars: nervy whip combat, a generous choice of secondary weapons, and above all the underground digging system, letting you dodge, cross traps, and surprise enemies. Between labyrinthine dungeons, scrappy bosses, and secrets tucked into every screen, the game promises a dense, demanding adventure tailor-made for fans of precision 2D action.
