About Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a classic 1v1 fighting game inspired by the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Developed by Gameplay Group International, it transposes the universe of elemental bending into an innovative gameplay focused on fluidity and "Flow" mechanics.
Players take on iconic characters such as Aang, and harness the mastery of the four elements: fire, water, earth and air, for epic battles! The gameplay relies on a four-button system, Light, Medium, Heavy and Flow. Each button adapts its effects depending on the position (standing, crouching or airborne), allowing for a wide variety of contextualized attacks.
The Flow button, the heart of the game, allows, when used alone, to trigger a defensive stance that automatically blocks opponent attacks, while in combination with directions, it allows evasive moves, as well as counter-attacks and unique combos.
All characters start with a Chi gauge at 100% right from the start, a resource that will enable Flow techniques inspired by the fluid movements performed by the masters of the element. The presence of support characters such as Piatsu, Momo or Hopup adds even more options since they allow you to benefit from mobility boosts (controllable air scooter, upgraded glider) or facilitate transitions into Flow attacks.
The game offers real dynamic offense and defense with extended combos, automatic parries and a robust netcode for online multiplayer. Scheduled for summer 2026, it looks promising, being accessible to newcomers while also rewarding the technical mastery of fighting game enthusiasts.
