The Season 1 trailer for NBA 2K27, released Tuesday evening on the official NBA 2K channel, saves its best shot for last: two arcade cabinets that have no business being in a basketball game.

The sequence takes place in the 2K Mart convenience store. The camera pans along a "Season 2 – October 16" poster, then stops on two cabinets: a neon Rockstar Games logo on the left, a 2K logo on the right. Both screens display "Season 3" in pink and orange lettering, next to a poster of palm trees at sunset. No GTA 6 logo, no text, no date.

Rockstar and 2K belong to the same group, Take-Two Interactive: the crossover requires no external negotiation. Three theories hold up: a Vice City-themed season, cosmetics, a court in Leonida colors. Nothing more than deductions.

Nothing has been announced: not the content, not the form, not the date. 2K has only communicated about Season 2, on October 16, seven weeks after Season 1 launched this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. At the same pace, Season 3 would arrive after the release of GTA 6, on November 19. Rockstar's big gameplay preview, airing Thursday, shouldn't reveal anything about it.
