About

The company 22cans was founded in March 2012 in Guildford, United Kingdom, on the initiative of Peter Molyneux, then having broken away from Lionhead Studios, who named it in tribute to an ambitious series of 22 experimental games he had created with his team. Joined by Tim Rance and Peter Murphy, both from the Lionhead adventure, 22cans first made the rounds of social networks by launching Curiosity: What's Inside the Cube?, a social event on mobile that gave birth to Godus (2014, funded on Kickstarter). The Trail then followed, and the two titles generated over $13 million in revenue. More recently, after testing an aborted mobile project called Legacy, and after a foray into the NFT world with colossal profits associated with Godus ($50 million in proceeds), 22cans is turning to PC and consoles with Masters of Albion, an innovative god-game unveiled at Gamescom.
