NBA 2K27 opens its doors in early access on August 26 at 6:00 PM in France, two days earlier than originally planned. Only the Deluxe and Ultra editions grant access on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, while Nintendo Switch 2 will have to wait until September 4 with the standard edition only.

NBA 2K27's early access opens on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 6:00 PM in France. The official FAQ sets the start at 9:00 AM PT and places London at 5:00 PM BST: Paris therefore moves to 6:00 PM. The French Steam listing announces the same time.

Deluxe and Ultra, not on Switch 2

Only the Deluxe Edition and the Ultra Edition grant access to it, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Both unlock at the same time: buying the more expensive one doesn't let you play earlier. On Nintendo Switch 2, 2K only sells the standard Edition: no early access, see you on Friday, September 4.

Two days earlier than announced

In July, 2K talked about August 28 and a week's head start. The FAQ now shows August 26 and "up to 9 days", which works out exactly to September 4. Several sites are still reporting the old date.

Nothing official on pre-loading or on the download size. The only published figure: Steam requires 110 GB of disk space on PC, which is a system requirement, not a file size.
