In brief

A leak attributes to billbil-kun the price of the Xbox Series X25 25th anniversary edition: €899.99 for Black Friday 2026. The console would sport the iconic translucent OG Green colour of the 2001 Xbox, with a matching controller included, for a cost of €100 above the standard Series X.

On Dealabs Magazine, billbil-kun claims to know the price and date of the limited edition Xbox Series X25. The 25th anniversary console would reportedly sell for €899.99 on Friday, November 27, 2026, Black Friday.

The price would be the same in the United States, $899.99. The machine would feature the translucent "OG Green" colorway unveiled in June, echoing the 2001 Xbox, with unchanged hardware: 1TB of storage, disc drive, matching X25 controller included. The pre-order date remains unknown.

The comparison, however, is official: since the price increase in early August 2026, the Xbox Series X 1TB with disc drive costs €799.99 in Europe, controller also included. The anniversary edition would cost €100 more for two transparent shells, with identical components. A steep price to pay for a colour.

What this leak is worth

billbil-kun digs through manufacturer and retailer websites, and his track record holds up: in July he placed EA Sports FC 27 on September 25, 2026, a date EA later confirmed; in April, he gave the PlayStation Plus lineup that Sony published as-is on April 15.

Microsoft, for its part, isn't saying anything: the X25's listing on xbox.com still reads "Coming soon," with June's announcement only specifying November for the console and October for the controller. That controller alone would reportedly be priced at €79.99 on October 20, with pre-orders on August 26: same status, no confirmation. It's at gamescom's Opening Night Live, Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (8 p.m. Paris time), that Microsoft is expected to settle the matter.
