Palia Energized Piranha: how to find and catch it
Palia offers a vast collection of unique fish to catch, and many are difficult to obtain - that's the case with the elusive Energized Piranha. You'll need to track down fish like this one to complete Bulletin Board collections, cook dishes, craft items, finish quests, and progress through the game. Here's how to find and catch it.
Where to find the Energized Piranha
The Energized Piranha swims in the rivers throughout Kilima Valley. Any area classified as a river in this region can spawn one when you fish there, but it's a fairly rare drop: luck plays a big role.

Rivers to search:
- the one flowing down from the Mirror Pond Ruins to the outskirts of Kilima Village;
- one slightly north of Whispering Banks;
- one near Maji Market;
- one north of Phoenix Falls.
The best bait
To make catching it easier, use classic Worm Bait. It's the best bait for attracting this fish: your chances of hooking one increase significantly.

The two ways to get it
There are two ways to get your hands on an Energized Piranha:
- By fishing, in the rivers of Kilima Valley. It's a fairly rare fish, and fishing remains random: no method guarantees a catch.
- By harvesting from a Boovar on the Ranch, where it sometimes appears as a random drop. But Boovars give a wide variety of fish: this route also relies on luck.

The best time to fish for it
Good news: you can try your luck at any time of day. Unlike some fish such as the Stickleback, which only swim at specific times, the Energized Piranha has no time restrictions - fish for it whenever you like.
