SHADE Protocol

SHADE Protocol is a 2D Metroidvania in pixel art set in a cyber-fantasy universe where reality is nothing more than an unstable line of code. The protagonist, Zura, is a Replica prototype capable of rewriting the world to counter the Elythium, this conscious metallic matter that has gained the power to reshape the entire Universe as it pleases. In the heat of the action, the UNISON system allows you to cut up and rearrange the entire screen to open new paths, solve puzzles and surprise enemies. The weapons, called Instruments, borrow from musical instruments the properties that dictate both combat styles and the sound colorations of the fights. Through alternating forms, code manipulation and timed attack patterns, SHADE Protocol combines precision, staging and experimental playfulness.
