Akatori

Akatori puts players in the shoes of Mako, a young monk trained at the Temple of the Firebird, thrust across interconnected realms ravaged by the Amber Storms - a corrupting force that warps everything it touches. A mysterious red bird, sealed within her staff, accompanies her on this quest.

The staff is the heart of the game: a weapon, a traversal tool, and a narrative key all in one object. Players chain combos on the ground and in the air, throw it as a projectile, recall it mid-flight, all within highly vertical environments designed for smooth, continuous movement - unabashed kung-fu parkour.

Aesthetically, Akatori plays the 2.5D card with pixel-art characters set against stylized 3D backdrops. The bestiary reacts dynamically to traps and interacts among enemies, forcing adaptation rather than mechanical repetition. Direct target: demanding Metroidvania fans who want movement, not farming.
