Contrast Games is an independent video game development studio founded by Alex Kishchinskiy, who holds the position of CEO. According to available information, the studio is of Ukrainian origin, although its exact headquarters remains difficult to confirm in the absence of additional sources. The studio is known for Akatori, a 2.5D Metroidvania on which the team has been working for several years. It is to date their most ambitious project.

Contrast Games' stylistic signature relies on a mix of pixel art for the characters and fully stylized 3D environments, coupled with gameplay centered on movement fluidity and staff combat. The team claims a strong attachment to respecting the codes of the Metroidvania genre, with a particular focus on design consistency and polish. No third-party publisher is officially mentioned for Akatori.
