Nightmare Shift

An isolated motel, nights that all blend together - until they don't anymore. Nightmare Shift is an independent psychological horror game in which you play as an employee whose night shifts gradually descend into nightmare and madness.

The title relies on cinematic storytelling and multiple endings, which brings it closer to a tense walking simulator than a full-on survival horror. No gunplay, no direct combat: the atmosphere does the work. The genre has its followers, and Nightmare Shift clearly seems to target players who enjoyed experiences like Outlast or Maid of Sker in their most narrative form.

Available on PC, it lands on Xbox Series X|S on July 30, 2026, then on PS5 on August 13, 2026.
