Breathedge

Space survival game released in February 2021, developed by RedRuins Softworks and published by HypeTrain Digital. The funeral ship carrying your grandfather's ashes explodes; you wake up in the void, in a spacesuit, with only an immortal chicken locked in a cage for company.

The gameplay loop sticks to the genre's canon: scavenge debris, craft a tool, expand your base, keep an eye on your oxygen. What sets Breathedge apart is its tone — constant humor, a chatty narrator, and writing that openly pokes fun at survival game conventions. The game wraps up in about twenty hours, including the scripted campaign.

Single-player only, on PC. The interface and subtitles are translated into French; voice acting is only available in English and Russian.
