About Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is an action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment on PlayStation 5. The plot takes place several millennia in the future, in an alternate world where space travel was already possible in 1986.
In the game, we play as the famous bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun (voiced by Tati Gabrielle), a character perfectly portrayed by the actress and voice actress, who is herself a fan of the Naughty Dog universe. In search of the criminal syndicate the ‘Five Aces’, Jordan (whose name means “the light”), crashes on Sempiria, a planet cut off from the rest of the universe for six centuries and with which contact has been completely lost. She will have to use a good number of her skills to try to leave this inhospitable planet, face hostile robots armed with blades, and gradually uncover the secrets of the local history.
Directed by Neil DRUCKMANN, who once again teams up with Craig MAZIN, the project addresses religious, faith-related and dogmatic themes, whereas the previous installment was rather centered on grief. The creation of this IP is the first within the studio since 2013 and benefited, for Sony, from a recent internal demo, and from a “very intensive” development that has so far required the involvement of about 250 people.
