Black Myth: Zhong Kui

Second installment in the Black Myth anthology, announced by Game Science in August 2025, a year after the worldwide success of Black Myth: Wukong. The game leaves Journey to the West behind for Zhong Kui, a figure from Chinese folklore: a disfigured scholar, spurned by the imperial court, who became after his death the vanquisher of demons.

Game Science describes it as a single-player action-RPG. The fifteen minutes of gameplay released in August 2026 show a protagonist armed with a blade, close-quarters combat, and a boss fight, set in an imperial China of temples and cliffs. The studio warns that everything shown comes from a work-in-progress build. No release date has been announced; the game is expected on PC and consoles.
