About Aion 2
Aion 2 is the direct sequel to the MMORPG Aion, developed and published by NCsoft on Unreal Engine 5. The game has already been released in South Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025; its worldwide release is confirmed for September 2026 on PC (Steam and NCsoft's own PURPLE platform), with local servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan.
Aion 2 retains the pillars of the first installment - two rival factions, aerial combat, PvPvE Abysses - while adding an open world with no loading screens, a reworked free-flight system, hundreds of dungeons, a reworked crafting system, and a complete graphical overhaul made possible by UE5. The title will be localized in ten languages at worldwide launch, including French.
Like the first Aion, the sequel adopts a free-to-play model with cosmetic microtransactions and a seasonal Battle Pass. It is also designed for cross-play with mobile versions announced by NCsoft.
