NCsoft is a South Korean video game developer and publisher, founded in March 1997 by Kim Taek-jin, and specialized in MMORPGs. The company, based in Pangyo, Seongnam, is mainly known for its successful massively multiplayer online games.
NCsoft's most well-known titles are "Lineage" (1998), its first game which was a considerable success in the country, "Guild Wars" (2005) developed and published by ArenaNet and Aion (2008) and its most recent game, "Throne and Liberty", released in December 2023. With more than 3,100 employees, NCsoft continues to work on new projects, notably shooters such as "Cinder City".
