Aion

Aion is the MMORPG franchise from NCsoft, the South Korean publisher also behind Lineage, Blade & Soul and Guild Wars. Launched in 2008 in Korea and then in 2009 worldwide, the saga is famous for its Atreia universe divided between two rival factions — the Elyos and the Asmodians — and for its unique gameplay based on aerial combat.

The sequel Aion 2, developed on Unreal Engine 5, was released in Korea on November 19, 2025 and arrives internationally in September 2026 on PC (Steam and Purple).
