Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes is a tactical real-time strategy (RTS) game franchise developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ then Sega. Born in 2006, it has established itself as an absolute reference in the genre, blending dynamic cover, environment destruction and fine-grained unit management against the backdrop of World War II.

The first Company of Heroes (2006) left its mark with its single-player campaign centered on the Battle of Normandy and its demanding competitive multiplayer. Its expansion Opposing Fronts (2007) then Tales of Valor (2009) expanded the theaters of operations and available factions, confirming the audience's appetite for this RTS rooted in tactical realism.

Company of Heroes 2 (2013) shifted the conflict to the Eastern Front, with the harshness of the Soviet winter as a mechanic in its own right. More austere, more brutal - a sequel that certainly divided, but also consolidated the fanbase. After a long wait, Company of Heroes 3 was released on February 23, 2023 on PC, for an adventure that this time takes place in the Mediterranean theater (Italy, North Africa). It received a mixed reception at launch, but managed to gradually make up for it through patches.

Twenty years after its debut, the franchise is now venturing into uncharted territory with Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand (July 29, 2026), a roguelite spin-off with wave defense - a first for the saga.
