About

TOSE, founded in Kyoto in 1979, is one of the oldest and most discreet outsourcing studios in Japanese video games, whose core business rests precisely on co-development. It first made a name for itself working in the shadows for major publishers such as Square Enix, Nintendo or Bandai Namco, in collaborations often uncredited. TOSE is associated with the Dragon Quest Monsters series, for which it has provided main development or collaboration since the Game Boy installments up to modern titles, notably Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince and now Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World. The studio also stands out through numerous ports, RPGs and other titles intended for handheld consoles, with solid expertise on Nintendo machines.
