The Alters

The Alters is a survival science-fiction game developed by 11 bit studios; you play as Jan Dolski, the sole survivor of a crash on a hostile planet. To survive, he can create alternate versions of himself - "Alters" - shaped by different life choices: each one has unique skills, but also his own psychology, beliefs, and grudges.

The core gameplay revolves around managing a mobile roving base, gathering resources under a deadly star, and above all, coexisting under pressure with these clones who don't always get along. Blending base-building, minute-to-minute survival, and introspective science fiction, the game clearly stands out from the competition through its writing and concrete moral dilemmas.

Awarded a DICE Award for Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year and nominated at the BAFTAs for Best Narrative, The Alters is aimed at players seeking substance where other titles settle for crafting loops.
