Tempus Vitae

Tempus Vitae is a first-person platformer and shooter, a Metroidvania that traps the player in the twisting, labyrinthine corridors of the Theia space station, across two eras simultaneously, 2185 and 2385. You play as Alex, an astronaut thrown out of his own time in search of his missing brother, lost during a scientific incident that fractured the timeline. The game blends non-linear exploration, the unlocking of new shortcuts and the acquisition of new abilities that gradually reshape the map, while first-person combat mixing gadgets (propulsion, teleportation, etc.) and futuristic weapons foreshadows a very current game design. By switching from one timeline to the other, the player also has influence over the very architecture of Theia, discovering hidden areas and better fighting mutant creatures whose effects and mutations differ from one era to the next.
