Star Wars Jedi 3, the title referring to the third and presumably final chapter of the trilogy centered on the character Cal Kestis developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, follows Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019) and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023), this solo adventure concluding the misadventures of the young Jedi hunted by the Imperial Inquisitorius after Order 66, within the timeline that separates the film Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) from its predecessor Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005).

In terms of gameplay, this installment is logically expected to be more ambitious than its predecessors with combat that is more intense and decisive. Above all, it's the enemy AI that has been intelligently programmed to always react to the player's choices and decisions, thereby nullifying the repetitive strategies described previously by favoring playthroughs where the player varies their tactical choices. In a darker atmosphere, semi-open world exploration, environmental puzzles and the wild uses of the Force and lightsaber – all of this remains the central focus of the experience, refined following feedback from Jedi: Survivor in order to achieve the right pacing. Also mentioned are the presence of a new protagonist tied to Cal Kestis, the final victory over the dark side, the long-awaited confrontation against Darth Vader or the Birth of a New Republic… Despite the difficulties encountered by Respawn (Stig Asmussen's departure in 2023, layoffs in 2024-2025…), the project continues to move forward and was teased by EA in 2024, backed by an expanded team, according to sources. Some are talking about an announcement at Star Wars Celebration, in May 2026 or just before Summer Game Fest, for a release in 2026 (sometime in September or during the first half of the year). What's surprising is the three-year cycle after Survivor, but it's in line with EA's usual practices, in the hope of a AAA blockbuster cementing the conclusion of Cal Kestis's saga.
