About Rebels of the Solar Speedway
Imagine a crossover between Hot Wheels, XCOM, and a grimy cyberpunk take on a second-industrialization space opera. That's the bet placed by Rebels of the Solar Speedway, a turn-based roguelike combat racer that puts you in charge of a two-pilot team launched into armed races across the solar system.
The twist: each turn is played in two phases, an action phase where you position your vehicles while anticipating enemy fire, then a resolution phase where attacks play out from last to first. Between runs, classic team management for the genre - repairs, ammunition, over 30 weapons and 90 modules to tinker with on your vehicle bodies.
The real curiosity comes from the economic layer: you can manipulate the stock market of the MegaCorps secretly funding these bloody races, by taking out their champions or boosting their competitors to make the prices of your own equipment fluctuate. A mix of tactics, management, and speculation that clearly targets roguelite fans who like to think before they charge in.
