RetroReactor (also credited as Retro Reactor Games) is an independent studio founded in 2015 by Danilo Barbosa. Originally based in Brazil, the studio has since moved its headquarters to Barcelona, Spain, where it now operates.

The philosophy displayed by the team is based on a simple principle: no need for complexity to create thrills. RetroReactor draws its style from the energy of retro games, the sense of spectacle borrowed from cinema, and the immediacy of arcade action. Their most notable title to date, Two Strikes, illustrates this approach well: a cinematic duel condensed into a single moment of decision, without frills.

The studio is now working on Rebels of the Solar Speedway, a turn-based roguelike combat racer set in a dystopian science-fiction universe, planned for PC via Steam. This project marks a change of scale for RetroReactor, moving from a minimalist duel format to a much more ambitious tactical system, with team management, modular weaponry and a roguelike progression loop.
