Persona 6

The sixth installment of Persona, Atlus's JRPG series, is reportedly currently in pre-production according to rumors, as the official presentation has yet to take place despite several years of development already, based on various job listings and leaks. It's expected to still center on Japanese high school life, daily life management, and battles against demons in a parallel world, but this time carried by new protagonists (the group is always quite different from one installment to the next) and a brand-new central theme. Early leaks mention a darker tone, more open dungeons, and a better integration between social choices and the turn-based combat system. Designed for the series' 30th anniversary, Persona 6 is reportedly aiming for current consoles (PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, or Switch 2) with a presentation planned during a major event before its release, which could be expected at best in 2027.
