Kingdom Hearts
Born in 2002 from an agreement between Square and Disney, Kingdom Hearts brings together the heroes of Final Fantasy and the worlds of Disney animation studios in a keyblade-wielding action-RPG. The series follows Sora, Donald, and Goofy from world to world, on a serialized storyline that has become famous for its complexity: about fifteen installments spread across nearly every console since the PlayStation 2, spanning main entries, prequels, and portable spin-offs. Despite this reputation for a labyrinthine plot, the franchise remains one of Square Enix's best-selling, driven by a fast-paced combat system and the devotion of a community that has followed the saga for over twenty years.
