Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy is one of the greatest sagas in Japanese video gaming, born at Square in 1987 with an episode originally made as a last-chance gamble, but which paved the way for a series that has changed generation, tone, combat system, yet never lost its identity.

The founding episodes automatically set the tone for the blend of epic storytelling, party progression, and successful music, then Final Fantasy VII turned the license into a global phenomenon with its characters, its staging, and its cinematic realistic dimension. But the franchise has known how to explore very different directions afterward with Final Fantasy X, XII, XIV or XVI, each one marking its era in its own way.

In 2026, everything changes in Final Fantasy Resonance, presented as the series' first HD-2D title, its visual approach combining pixel art and modern techniques.
