Crystal Dynamics

The American studio Crystal Dynamics, born in 1992, is famous for having renewed prestigious franchises. It was acquired by Square Enix in 2009, then by Embracer Group in 2022, and is currently located in California. For now, their greatest success remains the rebirth of "Tomb Raider" (2013), a dark and cinematic reboot that gave new substance to the Lara Croft series, before establishing it further with "Rise of the Tomb Raider" (2015), praised for its narrative and technical excellence. Crystal Dynamics had already made its mark in the 90s with "Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver" (1999), a gothic action-adventure acclaimed for its dark atmosphere and dimension-shifting mechanics.
