Based in Karlstad, Sweden, Embracer Group is a video game conglomerate owning more than 400 franchises, 54 studios and around 6,500 employees across nearly 30 countries.
Its operational divisions are THQ Nordic, PLAION, Crystal Dynamics-Eidos and Dark Horse, which have published eminently famous games such as "Tomb Raider" (Crystal Dynamics), "Metro" (4A Games) and "Borderlands" (Gearbox Entertainment).
After making a very large number of acquisitions, Embracer restructured its activities and had to reduce its workforce, as with Asmodee and Coffee Stain Group (Publishing and Studios) separated into independent entities.
