Daedalic Entertainment is a German studio specializing in narrative games and point-and-click adventures, founded in 2007 and based in Hamburg, then acquired by NACON in 2019. It is nicknamed the « German LucasArts ».
Among their notable games are the "Deponia" series (humorous and critically acclaimed point-and-click), "Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun" (real-time tactics game set in feudal Japan) or "The Whispered World" (poetic and melancholic adventure), but the studio has also developed "The Lord of the Rings: Gollum" (2023), a highly controversial adaptation of "The Lord of the Rings".
Alongside its own developments, Daedalic is today also a publisher of numerous European indie games, a status it leverages to cement its position among the leading figures of narrative gaming.
