Red Dead Redemption 2

Developed by the studios of Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open world action-adventure game, which came out in 2018 on PS4 and Xbox One, and was also ported to PC the following year. The main character, Arthur Morgan, an outlaw member of the Van der Linde gang, moves through an America in the midst of upheaval in 1899. The story unfolds across a vast open world made up of plains, mountains, and frontier towns, and displays a level of richness of detail and immersion that has made the game a benchmark for this genre of productions.

The gameplay mixes gunfights in third-person view, exploration on horseback, hunting, crafting, and in-depth social interactions. The honor system governs NPC behavior and helps drive the progression of the narrative. The Red Dead Online multiplayer mode was fed with content for a long time, before Rockstar reduced its resources devoted to it.
