About Hearthstone
Hearthstone is Blizzard Entertainment's free digital collectible card game, launched on March 11, 2014 after a long open beta phase. Initially titled Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, it draws from the World of Warcraft universe for its heroes, creatures and spells. Each game pits two players against each other, each embodying one of the ten iconic classes (Warrior, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Hunter, Druid, Paladin, Warlock, Demon Hunter) and facing off turn by turn with minions, spells and hero powers.
The game offers several main modes: Ranked, Duels, Arena, Battlegrounds (auto-battler), Mercenaries and a solo mode regularly enriched with new narrative adventures. Funded by the sale of card packs and a seasonal Battle Pass, it receives two to three major expansions each year and a Standard rotation that renews the competitive meta. Available on PC, Mac, iOS and Android with full cross-progression, Hearthstone remains, more than ten years after its release, one of the world's heavyweights in online card games.
